9145 / 9005 HID Conversion Kits and Bulbs
Some light housings use 9145 bulbs. A 9145 bulb type housing will accomodate a 9005 bulb so when you receive the kit, it will say 9005. Halogen bulbs operate at 55 watts and have an average life span of 1,000 hours of run time. HID bulbs operate at 35 watts and can last 3-4 times longer.

If you have a daytime running light (DRL) system on your low beams, you will need to disable it or bypass it by tapping another 12v source like a parking light. Disabling a DRL system is different for every vehicle. To find information for your particular vehicle please browse LightsOut.org.
