5000k HID Conversion Kits and Bulbs
5000k bulbs are traditionally used in headlight applications but can be used as auxiliary lights in foglight applications. The 5000k color temperature has a very slight tint of blue and produces an LED-like white color and comparatively makes the 4300k color temperature look slightly yellow. Please note that 5000k is a higher color temperatures than 4300k and thus will emit fewer visible lumens. A 5000k bulb will emit roughly 5% less visible light than a 4300k bulb due to blue hue blending into the dark ground.

If you have a daytime running light (DRL) system on your low beams, you will need to disable it or bypass it by tapping another 12v source like a parking light. Disabling a DRL system is different for every vehicle. To find information for your particular vehicle please browse LightsOut.org.
